Lustral not working - bad batch?

Hi,
I've been on sertraline for about 3 years and it has worked wonders.
I'm usually prescribed generic sertraline, but last month I was given Lustral (exact same dose etc)
I was late picking them up, so missed a few days. I've taken it as normal for the last 3 weeks or so but it just doesn't seem to be working, not even any side effects.
I take it at night, and usually wake up with dilated pupils and night sweats, and occasional nausea/ headaches if I've missed any doses.
I thought at first I wasn't getting side effects because it is the brand and is 'better', but my mood has been sinking lower and lower, and I cant even get through the day without crying anymore.
I've just been to the pharmacy to pick up some more, but I've got another pack of lustral with the same batch number...
Is it possible that this was just a bad batch? I have collected from my normal pharmacy so I doubt it would be improper storage from the pharmacy side.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this before?
I feel awful and I don't really know what to do or who to speak to...
I'm worried my GP will just write me off as a headcase if I start spouting that this Lustral (which I'm aware is clinically identical to generics) doesn't work... 😦
