Hello Everyone,

Two weeks ago i have been prescribed to Lustral 50mg for my anxiety and depression. Since then i didn't take any, i didn't opened box.

I am scared to start this medication as i have been recently about two months ago weaned off and then withdrawn from bp medication Amlodipine after almost three years use, which actually was the cause of my anxiety. Since then i was trying to go through self therapy and cbt, but there are good and bad days after this long 6 months fight with my anxiety and depression.

I don't know how to start taking it, i never use any SSRi or antidepresants, i am scared of the side effects, especially if it is related to more elevated anxiety and depression or dark moods. I did read many reviews here and elsewhere and i have very mixed feeling about Lustral. Really dont know what to do...

I do understand the worst side effects are at the start of treatment somewhere from one week to 8 weeks and then they might or may not help with anxiety or depression, also i do read that starting dose could be from 12.5 to 25mg for a week or month? Then dosage can be upped to my prescribed 50mg. I am also currently on bp medication Ramipril 7.5mg. My bp is mostly under control except when i get anxious, my bp will then spikes. Also i am using magnesium supplement and iron and b complex vitamins include D3.

I don't know if any of this may interfere with Lustral, also i can't decide what and for how long should be starting dose.

I would appreciate if anyone can point me out how to start with them and what to expect, what would be the worst i can expect from them, your experiences with Lustral. Thank You for your help and advise in advance.
