Lymph node issue?

So I've been having this lump feeling in my upper throat/under my jaw for 2 weeks now. I was told it's my lymph node. I've been to my local med express a few times and my regular doc once. First the said I had a virus. When it didn't go away after 10 days they said it was an infection even through strep was negative. I also have bad allergies. I'm just feeling a bit panicked still because this one lymph node went down a little bit after steroids but not completely and it's scary because I feel it whenever I swallow. Almost as if a lump is there. Anyone have any similar experiences? I'm only 26 but I'm terrified I have some sort of cancer because that's all you find when you look up info on lymph nodes being swollen. I'm just scared.

No need to get scared. Personally I feel it would be an easily manageable problem. Consult some specialist possibly who deals with mouth/ throat.

Thank you. I'm feeling a little better today. My lymph nodes went down a little bit and I still have a very pulled neck muscle towards the front of my throat. I think I just got really upset because everyone mentions cancer when it comes to lymph nodes.
