Lymph Nodes

I'm 11 months into this now. Though most of the symtoms have calmed down, I still suffer from a lot of pain in neck/ear area caused by swollen lymph nodes. Any long timers that are still suffering from this?

Hi catchthebus.. I m going through same issue. This mucus in my either of my nose. Whenever I wake up I could feel my nose being blocked. Are you doing any remedy to get rid of this ?? Please suggest.

I've tried some nose sprays but nothing helped. Then again the same thing was with my sore throat - tried every kind of drug avaliable, nothing helped, then it went away on it's own in November. Mono is doing some weird stuff in our bodies and the only thing we can probably do is just wait.

      Hey Nicky,

One thing that has helped me with throat / nose / gum issues in recent times has been a herb called Oregano, maybe worth a try and feel sure it can do no harm.

Hoping this settles man, so annoying!!

Also, my energy levels are pretty much back to normal. That general 'unwell' feeling has gone away, i feel like the old me pretty much.

    Hi Catch the bus,

Yes I suffered from one particularly annoying swollen lymph node in the neck that persisted even after I was starting to feel much better. I think it just leaves a bit of a tender point there, it does go away over time and once settled it might only bother you a wee tiny bit when suffering a cold or flu or whatever, but nothing like when going through the virus - things will definitiely get better with this, 11 months is a long slog and really hoping for a better year for you this year! Trusting God with that one.

    Hey catchthebus,

I am at 9 months now and feeling slightly better but still got the same as you a very painful and most of the time swollen lymph node on the left hand side of my neck. I still suffer from a sore neck, sometimes going up into the ear area and also slightly uncomfortable feeling when swallowing.

This really is the worst thing I have ever gone through in my life and some days are a lot worse than others. It always seems to be the bad days when you feel as though your never going to recover fully though. Does anyone else get that?

      Hi Sam,

Really feeling your pain with this, I felt exactly the same when I went through it too. It is normal to feel like things won't improve, but believe me they do Sam - I know it's hard to see when in the midst of it all, things will change for the better though and I truly believe you are going to make a full recovery.

How long have yours been up? I found out I had GF in July last year. Still struggling so much 😨

Not totally sure Rosanna, I think I might have had a bit of pain in that kind of bony area right directly above the ear, it's hard to remember. It may well be from the glandular system, worth checking out anyway if unsure and causing you bother.
