Lymphocytosis

I have had Rheumatoid arthritis since 1988. Well controlled thankfully.

After nearly 2 years of blood tests bone marrow tests I have finally got a diagnosis of   (T-LGL)   aka T-cell large granular lymphocytosis.

I had low white neutrophil count anaemia low grade fevers.

As a result of this I could not get travel insurance as I was waiting for a name for what was going on.  Now I still can't because they list two types of Lymphocytosis but not the T-cell one  grrrrr.

Jean.

Does anyone else have this type out there sad

No, I dont have that diagnosis but eith RA Ive found that the insurance com panies are so ill informed.  The person who makes the decision most often is not medically qualified either.  Ask the person you talk to what their medical quslifications are....you will be surprised! Also keep trying others, there are many...Top dog, Asda,  stay sure. ..and many others.  Dont give up! Good luck!

Hi Jaydee, getting travel insurance is a nightmare for lots of conditions. I did use one last year however for Italy which only wanted to know if my doctor had advised whether or not to travel! I kept trying to give them some medical history but they didn’t want it. The same with my friend who suggested I try them. She’d just completed a course of chemotherapy for ca uterus.  My plan this year is to check with my GP if he’s happy me traveling and ask him to document it.

The company is  Eurotravel. Let us know if you decide to try them and how you get on.  Good luck. Carol

    Thanks for your comments.

Decided to get on the phone and after a long chat we are covered. For a price. They have put it down as a noted link to the rheumatoid  wink . Phew.
