    Hi.

    What effects are you feeling?

I think 75mg is a high dose to start with..

I was also started on 75mg twice a day last year and the first day was awful I called my doc to ask if it was normal and she said no and reduced my dose..

I eventually stopped taking them everyday as I was always tired and drowsy.

I now take 25mg as and when needed.

I've been taking it for well over a year being on 400mg at highest dose. I was put on it for anxiety although I do suffer with nerve pain also but it never helped that but did help the anxiety. I've been trying to come off it these past months but have to do it so very gradually otherwise symptoms just return. I now take 50mg so have got it down significantly although it will take many more weeks on this dose before going to 25mg I'm hoping to be free from it come summer God willing. Apparently it's very addictive so hard to get off so just be careful.

I also take it for anxiety. Has your anxiety improved hence why you have reduced off it?

Because I think the Lyrica causes rebound so the longer your on it and try reducing it's tge lack of it gives the axiety symptoms. I have never been a sufferer of axiety until recently then by accident I ran out of lyrica while away thought I would be okay till I got home and renewed script but on the 2nd day I was in an awful state riddled with anxiety and had to ring the nearest hospital for an emergency script. I decided I wasn't going to be a slave to this tablet and told my doctor I wanted to decrease to come off it. My doctors have since posted notices that lyrica will no more be given because it's addictive.

I now am down to 50mg daily that's ftom 400mg I'm doing it very slowly as I know if I don't the anxiety will just show up again I've learned that. Just be careful taking large amounts of it its great for anxiety but a nightmare to quit.

I see you only use it when needed I think that's the best way. I never had the symptoms you had when I was put on it it just kept away the anxiety no side effects.

    Hi Kayla,

    I hope you are well.

My name is Greg Ellis and I ended up in hospital after suffering from what I can only describe as a stroke. My girlfriend told me I collapsed/fell in my kitchen and that the left side of my face completely drooped. I have no recollection of this and only remember coming round on my sofa and getting taken to hospital. The Consultant told me I was fine and "too young to have suffered from a stroke." He kept saying: "Lyrica is a great medicine." About 10x in 10mins. Me and my girlfriend both commented: I wonder who is paying him to say that?
