Lyrica withdrawl and SFN nerve Pain

Hi, I suffer with idiopathic small fiber neuropathy in my legs , toes and feet since 2011. (I'm not a diabetic) It has progressed since then to my arms, hands, fingers, scalp etc. I have every symptom in the book. Including painful pins and needles , buzzing, burning and vibratory sensations,. I take 250 mgs of Lyrica a day for 5 years. I was on a higher dose (350-400mgs) but it didn't help so I went back down . I tried ever medication out there. I had to stop for either side effects or they weren't effective. I tried CBD oil with and without THC. I found the THC accentuated some of my symptoms. I would like to get off of Lyrica. I hate what it does to me cognitively. Scientists don't even know what the long term effects of Lyrica are..Scary stuff!
My question is has anyone else been on Lyrica and did you go off and how bad was the withdrawal.??
What are you taking now , or what do you do to control the debilitating pain from this Beast!?
Depressed in NY. Any comments or positive suggestions will be greatly appreciated . TY.

The best thing to do is to come of Lyrica since it doesn't suit you and try to learn to live with the neuropathy. I have it in both arms and hands due to injuries and refused anti depressant treatment to avoid the side effects you are getting. The only thing that helps me is heat which is great when I go to Italy in the summer. However, while I am in the UK, I have more flare ups because of the variable climate. I am now experiencing a lot of numbness along with the pain and it takes hours for my arm to thaw out and when it does, the sensations are tingling and pain and rarely normal sensations. My left arm is worse than the right although the left arm was only fairly recently injured. My right arm was first injured over 40 years ago and I have fallen on it a couple of times on it since then.

A question I always ask people with neuropathy for no particular reason. Were you ever prescribed Cipro or Fluoroquinolones for an infection. Tendonitis often comes soon after taking it and neuropathy and other problems long after and the connection not realised.
The connections are well discussed on this site if you search on it.
