I am not a doctor but I went for a second opinion to a certified retina specialist at Johns Hopkins after my mom's doctor told me the same. he said all you have is 1/10 of 1/100 and that made no sense because my mom was under her care until her eye was beyond care. So after 5 years of dry macula, I developed wet macular degeneration but because I was checked every 6 months I did not have any damage. of course eyes change with age independent of macular degeneration. Some people never develop wet macular degeneration but mine is under control with the use of Eylea. I am not a doctor, but a second opinion might be a good idea, its up to you.

thanks for reply Elizabeth. the doctor i saw was a retina macular specialist. he ran all type of test including images etc. he is a top rated doctor for macular disease. he said all was fine. However i will check my eyes every six months. i just recently chatted in a forum about macular degeneration and everyone there seem to have agreed with all the test done of i would have had it test would have revealed it. but like I mentioned I will check my eyes every six months for changes. good luck with your eyes.
