Macular Hole

Posted , 1 user is following.

Hello everyone! I'm a 50 year old female and wear contact lenses. I've been suffering from blurriness and distorted vision in my right eye starting from the age of 14 (it showed up in right after my eye healed from a stye), but only recently decided to get it checked out as it's progressively gotten worse. I went to an ophthalmologist and turns out it's a macular hole...

I know macular holes are often treated surgically, but would it be worth it to try a non-surgical approach before I decide to take the plunge? So far I've been prescribed Diclofenac but I'm not sold.

Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

Thank you.
