Macular pucker?

Diagnosed yesterday after testing. Right eye. Lens replacement 3 years ago. Developed PVD (Weiss ring), no longer a problem; dry eye in this eye. Wavy lines, distorted vision, had YAG procedure to remove protein from lens ten days ago, vision overall in the eye much clearer but still wavy lines and some minor distortion (worsened if eye is very dry).

Ophthalmologist referred me to retinal specialist, well known in my area who knows if he's any good really. I asked where he would go, he said this guy, ok. Have to wait a month for initial evaluation. I WANT THIS THING REMOVED. NOW. So I'm going to tell him I want the surgery even though I'm terrified, honestly.

Any information from those who ever had this spontaneously heal? or who had this surgery and with excellent results (full normal vision)? NO HORROR STORIES I'm already scared to death. Some support greatly appreciated.

Sorry to hear of your situation. Do you experience dizziness or light sensitivity (light causes eye pain) with your symptoms?
