Magnesium as a supplement

Posted , 2 users are following.

Hi, did someone try taking magnox to easy the muscle/joint pain and fatigue? My instructor recommendit it at after the first pill and a very intense workout I feel better than I felt in weeks. Coincidence or can it actually help? Autosigestia can also be a valid answer :-)

I am on Humira and Etopan and as Humira reduces muscle strength while Etopan destroys the bone structure, so I try to develop both as much as possible at expense of constant pain. Pain significantly reduced. Your insights are welcome.

Hi Ama;  not sure what condition you have (quuery RA, as you are taking Humira??)   but yes, a lot of us take Magnesium for Muscle pain/spasms in relation to Fibro/ME....I do believe it to be very beneficial.  The name of mine is Bio-Magnesium, as it also contains Vit D, E and C plus some other minor vitamins....have been using same for about 12 months, and do not have half the trouble that others are still having.      Keep trialling, and see how you go....Bronsurprised

      Thank you, Bron!

My relatives are concerned that my blood tests will be impacted by these supplements, but I think that magnesium is not the major problem with biologicals.

They are not sure what I have as it is periferial. Scan focused the diagnosis on AS, but it has flavors of RA of other types too. Will keep working out. Was a dancer long time before. If I can't get my range of motion back, the least I want is the ability to move freely sad

Feel well too. Glad to hear that it helped you / mine contains vitamins B D and E so it will be interesting to see the long time impact...

Be careful re the "working out" as too much can actually make your symptoms worse....it is advocated that "gentle exercises...such as Pilates" are more beneficial with Flare-ups/joints/muscles etc....just enough to keep muscles flexible....you may find that it may take a month or so, to feel the effectiveness of the Oral Magnesium......as for the blood results, they will Tell you if you have too much in your blood stream....most unwanted vitamins/.minerals are passed out of our system through our urine...best of luck...till next time.....Bron
