I truly believe that closeness is very healing and cuddles were very important to me. My gorgeous partner made it very clear how much he still loved me and after a glass of wine at 6 weeks after the first hip we had a lovely 'spooning'.
I didn't break anything
but still had very painful OA in the other hip.
I have just had the second hip done and it would silly to say that I am thinking abut it at the moemnt but in four weeks time, well, he'd better watch out!!!!

Hi I'm a 48 yr old female. In March this year 2017 I had a Bilateral total hip replacement ( double) at the same time being very rare . I'm now 9 weeks in doing ok but the ' lovely place ' not happening yet . I have a very understanding partner . I had osteoarthritis plus Dxplesia .So having the Dxplesia was very flexible I'm hoping this will continue. I've been told to stick to 90 degrees . I havnt come across a female who's had a double together. Especially my age . Anyone out there who can give me more info please xxx

You could try my THR website - I have put links in there giving positions to try (for male and female undergoing the THR) - all based on scientific evidence on how much strain it puts on the joint. The page you need is "Long Term Recovery".
My website address is in my personal info here ...

and at the bottom of the moderator's "useful resources" page at
