Mal aligned /union from a Colles Radius Fracture

Posted , 2 users are following.

I have been out of the cast for 6 weeks and still dealing with swollen fingers that interfere with exercises I am doing for finger mobility ( I cannot make a fist).  My fingers swell overnight even though I elevate my hand.   I have been told I do not have to have an operation if I get wrist mobility and swelling down by one Orthopaedic Surgeon whereas another is suggesting operation.  It is all most confusing and worrying and any help from anyone who has had a malunion of the radius bone who has avoided an operation will be most appreciated as well as any suggestions re swelling of fingers and hand.

With thanks,

Kayte

This may sound crazy but I want you to try it, get a glass of drinking water and pronounce this name into it (ALLAHU) for 21 times and then drink haif of it pour the remaining on the hand, it will definitely work and it will work for you too. Dr.Abu

Hello, I hope you get better soon.  Have you tried evaluating your hand and arm higher e.g. more pillows, a small box to see if that helps with the swelling?  Have you sought a third opinion?  Good luck and post an update when you can.  Take care.
