Male, age 38 with Bladder problems
Posted , 4 users are following.
Frequent urination, with occasional leakage after emptying bladder. Sometimes has urge to urinate when there is an empty bladder. Frequency of urination can be from every 20 min, up to 3 hours.
Have seen specialists, and have had tests for urinary tract infection, diabetes, prostate exam, ultrasound on bladder and kidneys, scope in urinary tract, full bloodwaork. All test results are normal, however this issue has been ongoing for years, and there have been no recomendations forthcoming as to how to decrease frequency. This issue disrupts sleep, as there is an urge to urinate 2-4 times per night.
Any ideas? Please help

Sorry to hear about your problem. At least all your tests are clear.
Sounds like you have overactive bladder syndrome which is what i suffer with.
I was prescribed oxybutynin tablets which worked wonders for me and i now have a good nights sleep!
Id go back to your doctor and ask him to prescribe something for you.
Good luck.

You can take them day and night. The maximum dose is 10mg per day.
Hope the doctor prescribes you them. They do help.

I was put on Oxybutin Hydrochloride tablets (5mg) and these changed my life.
I no longer had to dash out of meetings or plan car journies around service areas or plan shopping trips around stores that had toilets.
A year ago, the effect seemed to be wearing off and I was urinating 12 times or so a day but as I am now retired, this did not present too much of a problem.
I mentioned this to the doctor about two months ago and she has increased the dose to 10mg per day.
So far, it does not seem to have made any difference and in fact, may even be worse. I am thinking of stopping the tablets but will check with the doctor first.
In your case, I would certainly reccomend Oxybutin as they improved my life for several years.
