Regarding urinary infections I keep hearing contradictory advice about taking Bicarbonate of Soda versus Lemon juice/Vit C.
Should we try to make our urine more alakali or more acid ?

I've heard a lot about lemon juice helping to fight urinary infection, but I believe it's simply due to its diuretic action that causes "cleaning" of the urinary canal through more constant urination.
In any case, be very careful when ingesting bicarbonate, because it is highly corrosive to the teeth, can lead to an excessive urinary alkalinization and worsen the evolution of a urinary infection. It can also increase calciuria in patients with renal lithiasis, generating kidney stones.

We cannot technically make our urine less acidic. Even if we kept swallowing toothpaste.
