Mammogram Recall Screening and biopsy

Posted , 4 users are following.

This has got to be one of the most terrifying and awful days of my life so far. I had a mammogram recall today, 40 photographs taken, a biopsy and a titanium staple inserted to alert the surgeon where the area is just in case that they have to operate. Another week to wait for biopsy results and if that's not enough I have got to have a colonoscopy this Friday. I was 50 in December last and since then I feel threatened with these scares and my mental health has taken a huge plummet. I'm totally worn out and yet I cannot sleep. Sorry for the rant but I had to get it off my chest.

my wife is going through same thing but nit the colonoscopy. We were to leave on vacation on the 10th but she got called to go in for a mammo and biopsy on the 12th because of her ultrasound rsult of a 2cm mass. We left on 16h for our trip to Florida, she called to book an appointmt with specialist for the 26th when we get back. Day after we arrived which would be 17th she gets a call wanting her to see doctor next day. Because we are in Florida we are sticking it out until 26th, Its been hectic but we've tried to enjoy our stay. We are not expecting good news when we get back. I hope for the best for you...fingers crossed! Colonoscopy is no big thing, procedure is easy...good luck!
