Has anyone ever asked for sedation for a mammogram? It was so painful for me the last time they tried, they weren't able to do it. No one there really understands or believes how painful it is for me. I guess they think I'm crazy. But I just had a colonoscopy where you're sedated with propofol & was thinking it would be nice to just be "out" for the mammogram too. I wonder why that couldn't be an option for fibro clients.

i have never heard of anyone having a n injection for having a mammomgram
some people can to sensative because they have to squash the breast has flat has they can,my mum had 5 mammomgrams and she had no problems with any of them it only takes a few minutes,did you ask them if they could give you anything
i can,t really help,i can only go off my mum with hers and she had no problems .hope you find some help judith

I have never heard of anyone having or even talking about that. It can be somewhat painful for some women. It only takes a couple of minutes so any pain should be fleeting. Could it be possible that you are so afraid of mammograms that your body is tensing so much that it causes more pain? Do you take some Advil before you go? I wish you luck!❤

I find Mammomgrams painful. Everytime. But it wears off quite quickly after I walk away from the machine. I find it a very unpleasant and embassering thing. And I have heard it can increase the chances of getting cancer. Not that they have told me this. I don't know what's worse having it done, or waiting weeks to get the results.

if it was,nt for the mammograms that saved her lives twice,each cancer
she had were different the first was an inverted nipple that was then all
clear for over 10 years,she the had another cancer that was a hard lump
again that one was clear so the mammogram saved my mum,but unfortunately
the 3rd one they could not save,but she fought to the end and did not complain
once so please go for a ammogram judith from southport

ask your dr to prescribe something..the people who do the mammograms are not qualified to do that..i have them regularly..they are not nice but its not often and the pain does wear off, I find its much better than getting BC and not knowing it..Colonoscopy is very intrusive so you need it..❤❤
