Managing BV that is triggered by sex

i was wondering if anyone has any solutions for bv that is primarily triggered after sex? At the moment i do have a routine which can keep me in check slightly however it doesnt always work!

currently i am using multigyn actigel after everytime and then canesflor vaginal probiotics a few times a week. however, i still have to use metronidazole sometimes!

i was wondering if anyone has found any other gels that work when inserted after sex? i have been looking into RePhresh but sick of wasting money on things that dont work! if anyone has any advice it would be amazing!

thanks

I found that boric acid suppositories work well no matter what the trigger. I've struggled with BV for 13 years and everything was a trigger for me. It was persistent, recurrent, even chronic. Antibiotics eventually only worked while I was on them and then symptoms would come back with in 24 hours of finishing the antibiotics. I started an oral probiotic that also has prebiotics. I also did some digging and found many women said they were helped by boric acid suppositories. I ordered both from amazon and I haven't had a recurrence since. I used 2 boric acid suppositories a day for 2 weeks. then 1 a day as my period (also a trigger) was approaching. now I just use 1 a few hours after sex (we're trying to conceive so I wait like an hour after sex) and 1 a day the week before my period.
