CBD oil did nothing for me. i like the tens unit under ice/heat after PT exercises. Seems to help temporarily

I tried the TENS when I had knee surgery, but didn't care for what it delivered. But, I also have CRPS type 2. And the CBD oil,

It helped with my sleeping issues, not so much with the pain. But, it may have been because my dose is so low, 300mg

Others have been successful with it, but the price keeps going up when you increase the dosage.

You can try an inexpensive $25 TENS unit from your local pharmacy. The problem is knowing where to place the pads so they interrupt the pain signal from the knee. You would have to ask your PT about that pad placement.

I've used Voltaren Gel (RX in the US, generic diclofenac elsewhere...check for interactions) for many years as a great topical anti-inflammatory. Then my son sent me some "lotion" from Colorado...worked in 5 minutes. Lots of people use CBD oils for lots of things including pain. I would not recommend buying off the Internet. Instead, find a local compounding pharmacy that has experience with the oils. That way, you will probably get better quality (FULL SPECTRUM) oil specifically formulated for pain, sleep, etc. Our local guy has a complete workup sheet that you fill out before the consult. He takes this very seriously. Find someone like that.

Depends... Some people report that it has no effect on them whatsoever while others swear by it. For me, it worked better for bursitis-type rather than post-op pain. However, it did take the edge off the knee when I used it consistently (4X/day), especially at bedtime.
