Mania with only mind paranoia?

After experiencing a antidepressant-induced mixed episode, I began to be paranoid that the police were after me all the time; I would be scared by passing lights and my own brake lights, and think that whenever someone looked at me it was because there was something wrong with my car. At first I thought it was just because I'm a fairly new driver, but I recently came to the realisation that the paranoia started shortly after I began taking the antidepressant and has now gone away shortly after beginning an antipsychotic. Coincidence? Maybe, I don't know.

Could this paranoia classify the highs of my mixed episode as mania instead of hypomania, even though it's so mild?

Could be side effects from your medication but we need to know what medication your are on before we can help you or comment further

Hope things have improved for you

The antidepressant was escitalopram (lexapro) and the antipsychotic is olanzapine (Zyprexa). I’m thinking it’s more of a coincidence.
