Mark All As Read

Posted , 11 users are following.

I know this has been raised before but can I plead with whoever removed the option to "Mark As Read" individual notifications to put it back PLEASE.

It made life much easier when we could click on the most recent post and up would come all the follow ons which we could read in sequence and then mark them as read in one click and move on to the next topic/ post.

If anyone has solved this, please share; if I'm just being dim please enlighten me.

Thank you. You explained the problem much more clearly than I did. I also hate that I can't go to next page any more. I'm sure there are replies to me and notifications of new posts that I can't scroll down to read, which are getting further and further away from me as the posts continue to pile up.

    How do you mark read?

You can't any more. Unless you mark them ALL as read, and not many of us want to do that. If you have actually clicked on the notification for a particular post or reply then the notification will disappear as the computer then believes you have read it. As you can imagine, clicking on every notification for a post which can end up with over a hundred replies if really popular is tedious.

Oh yes, oh yes, oh yes! I've had such a wonderful day - at least the weather is so awful I didn't want to even stick my nose out the door!!!

Yes, raining very hard here for a while so I did that stupid mark all as read thing, and now I'll never know which of those earlier threads I haven't read!

How do you delete these or mark as read. I am seeing the same ones over and over

It is a lot easier doing it via the email notifications - you can see some of the post so know if you have read it already and don't need to go there unless you want to.

My email fills up with Healthunlocked. I couldn't stand it if I were getting Patient as well. As it is I occasionally miss important emails from people I know in real life.

And this morning I have just a few patient email notifications and I'm having to use the internal one and can't identify which is which without looking. BAH!!!!!

      Hi BS8,

If you could expand on "many errors" I will try and advise or report any issues to the developers.

Clearly, a lot has changed on this site and I have yet to know exactly what. All I know is that I haven't been receiving notifications for goodness knows how long. When I decided to look into it today I discover that my email had been blocked. I reset my 'new' password using my old password and have been reinstated. I'm now slowly going through all my notifications and have no idea how many are in the list.

    Hi all,

As I mentioned in another discussion I am aware of the "Mark as read" problems including the lack of the "Load more" button until you have less than one page of unread notifications. I have passed this and all of your feedback on and have asked for this to be addressed/rectified as a matter of high priority.

I'll keep the discussions about this updated with any progress.

    Regards,

    Alan

Many thanks. I'd like to be a fly on the wall when they read them! Do you think we might need ear plugs?
