Hi All

Just a little update to say all is going well, had my 12 week checkup and Dr pleased at my progress, however a slight issue may be the screw in the left foot. We both think any discomfort im feeling is general healing.....but the screw isnt positioned right nd may have to be removed.....Im obviously outting this to the back of my head and have decided the pain is healing lol. he said Im good to go and try and get bak to normal, so.......on Tuesday night I ran 3 miles. If i was told this 12 weeks ago i would never of believed it. im so happy, but being mindful not to go further. My physio wants me to run in the pool, i have a set of exercises to follow so all is good. Be positive, believe you can and you will x

What a great update. I'm only 2 werks PO so it's nice to read a great story like this! I hope you don't need any hardware removal!

Kaliana I had both feet and one hammertoe done together, I'm not saying it's been easy but We have to try and remain positive. I'm hoping no hardware removal too, since this post I have ran another three miles, a little niggle after but soon calmed down. Good luck x

I am so happy for your progress.  I am having problems with the pins on my toes.  One hurts a lot and still have inflamation in my 8th week.  theother pin is blocking my circulation I start felling num when I have the foot down.  At the end of the day my foot is darker.

Where did you have your surgery rae?  I need to find another dr.  I live in San Diego and I need to have done it again sad

Are the pins going to come out? Did you have non union or fusion? I have a titanium plate and screws, no pins. I'm sorry this process has been so difficult for you.

The only thing dr told me was he was going to put a pin on hammer toe that eventually was going to disolve and that's it.  With a dispossition that said "do not dare to ask me more"

Later I learned that he broke the bone in the bunion toe put a pin there too. Very bad experience with this dr.

Hi Kalina, I hope you are better each day.  One question what is a fusion?  In the x ray I saw two pins only the big to and in the hammer toe.

It's if your bones have started to fuse back together. Some people have issues with fusion and need bone stimulators.

Thank you Kaliana.  I hop you feel better soom.  I have noticd that the hammer dr put a pin in a way that now my toe is extremelly low that the adjacent toes are trying to go over this toe!  In addition of that it hurts so much especially when I walk.  Do you have similar experience?  So long.

I'm still in a hard cast and can't walk yet so I'm not sure. To be continued.
