Masturbation - does it help atrophy?

If you think or know it does, any recommendations for a vibrator?
Thanks.

Yes it does because of the blood pumping around that area helps the internal skin to regenerate itself. Even a doctor will tell you if you don't use it ..you lose it..not nice to hear but unfortunately true. Lots on the market ...go for silicone and look at reviews.Make sure you look out for the right lubricant also and keep it clean after every use with a special anti bac cleaning solution.

Ever since my husband's heart attack and, given our "elderly" status, mid 70's, we just walked away from the whole sex thing. Now I'm paying the price.
I came down with AV 12 years ago but quit taking Estrace, even though it helped me. Bad decision! I had really bad atrophy - even bled when having a pap test - skin was like parchment and just broke apart.
Today, I dragged out an old vibrator and put it to work!
My DH ordered me a "pocket rocket" type from Amazon. I told him its time we both got into this scene as it will help his prostate, too.
I read last week that sexual activity (of whatever sort) 3 to 4 times a week is de riguer if you want to avoid the atrophy situation.
I know this is very personal but 'think its definitely a part of our problem - if you have a partner or not its wise to have activity there.
I'm going to increase my water intake as I'm a runner ( 40 years!) try to lower my stress level (that's a hard one as i have lifelong GAD) increase the "activity" down there and try to keep it well moistened with vitamin E suppositories and hope for the best!
Thanks for your advice, Dotsie!

Good for you!!! I would definitely throw away any old toys now you know the direction you are taking. I've used toys for years including in my marriage with my husband and on my own.I am 58 and divorced 5 years and not in any sexual relationship. I would highly recommend the Ann Summers Moregasm Wand at £75...I am in the UK. I'm also about to have my second Mona Lisa Treatment which is already life changing for me. Certainly not cheap but it seems to be the only cure.I haven't used any creams or lotions for a while now...and believe me..there is nothing i haven't tried!!! I'm so much better. Good Luck.

Wonderful news for you. To what do you attribute your success? The ML treatments?
Are they to separate the fusion?
I just found out I have some,too.
I haven't heard of the ML over here in the states - I'll have to check it out.
Thanks for the tip re: the wand - I can display their site here, I'm sure.
I have to be careful not to disturb the LS areas....right around the clitorus.
