Mattress Topper

Hi friends
I am just over 4 weeks post op and am still struggling where sleeping on the bed is concerned. The bed has a soft mattress. Is there anyone out there who can recommend a mattress topper that will make my current mattress a bit firmer please?

I got one from Amazon just a few weeks ago. I can't post a link because this forum doesn't allow it but I can probably message one to you. It wasn't expensive and it had the best reviews. It's so very comfortable, a bit of a chemical smell when you first unwrap it, and it's looks very small and flat, but leave igt gfor a few days and it expands and the smell goes. I woud certainly recommend it.

Is it the 4 inch soft foam which costs about £55? My only concern is whether it works on a soft bed. At present I last about an hour on our soft bed before my operated leg starts to become uncomfortable. My wife is a bit sceptical and thinks we should shop around for a new firmer mattress.

Have you tried using pillows under your knee so that your leg is slightly bent? I would try experimenting.

I have been breaking the rules (naughty boy), and started around weeks 3 to 4 this time around, but I did not have full THR this time, so it is very different for me. When I had the 'proper THR', it was at 6 weeks that I could get on my side.

I used our spare bed for a time as the mattress was much firmer.
Hope you find a solution.
