I have been titrated up to 200mg of Zoloft and I am still anxious. Don't get me wrong I'm much better to what I was in December. Any suggestions?

Hi Maxine, medication can help control symptoms to a point but what you have to do is address the underlying causes of it. I’m in the exact same position right now and once my current serious bout of anxiety starts to abate, that’s what I’m going to do. I’ve avoided it for so long but all I’ve done is put it off when I’m feeling ok then totally regret it at times like these when I feel like crap. Hope you feel better soon.

Thank you for responding. I have had a very tough year and I think this is the cause. Three deaths of close friends and I got robbed at gunpoint point at work. I have been also dealing with 2 sets of elderly parents. I started meditating and journaling. I am going to feel better soon. I hope you do too!

You should try to combo the meds with therapy.  If therapy is unavailable I would suggest getting an anti-anxiety workbook from Amazon.  Also try to be mindful, meditate at least once a day, and try to fit in some type of exercise whenever possible.

I try to get a good night's sleep and eat healthy also.
