    Hi Luna

Some antibiotics make some people hyper or anxious and may interfere with proper sleep. Ditto for steroids whether taken orally as pills or inhalers/puffers, or as shots. Any of these drugs can have these effects. If they are combined with as little as a single 6 oz cup of regular coffee, the effect is much worse. More cups of coffee or sub an espresso for a coffee and things really spiral. All of tgese drugs & the coffee can cause one's hands to shake, blood pressure to soar and heart rate to go nuts.

But that doesn't mean one can ditch all these meds. Coffee & tea & all other forms of caffeine can be ditched while you wait a short time to see your doctor, because you need to tell your doc just what you told us. Call your doc/specialist/nurse right away.

Don't worry about it, Lina. Plenty of people post in COPD who don't even have a cold, much less a chest infection, emphysema or chronic bronchitis. Far better you, who are actually sick, than the occasional weirdo we get who is not sick in any way but likes to wind us up.

I AM NOT A WEIRDO! FYI I was diagnosed with Empysema I 1991. I was in several drug studies, hoping to find a cure or this dreadful disease.I have been an active member of the COPD forum for several years and offered help to many fellow COPERS. NO, I am not a weirdo.  and  you should be ashamed to refer that I am a weirdo.

Morty, I never said you were a weirdo nor did I doubt your emphysema. We DO get some weirdos. In particular, a guy who went by Italianlifter when I first came across him. He's got a whole schtick about how sick he is, at 24, while working as a firefighter (!) and getting all these tests that show him to be healthy. It drags on and on and he needles folks a lot. He's a fraud and he keeps getting kicked off, then comes back under a different user name. Or maybe he's mental rather than a fraud. Either way, he doesn't belong in this forum.

Just yesterday we had somebody post some lunacy. I reported that to the moderator & the post was taken down. This poster, Lina, is just like you & me in that she's having lung problems. We get a lot of folks asking us if they might have COPD.

Again, I neither called you a weirdo nor doubted your right to be here. Had this been your original post perhaps there would've been cause for you to assume I referred to you. But it wasn't your post so why you'd make that assumption is beyond me.
