MD and diuretic

I went to a new ENT yesterday. He said I have all the early symptoms of MD. The only symptom I am missing is the hearing loss. As of now I have perfect hearing. I pray every day that i truly do not have MD. I have a very very slight ringing in my ear except when attacks occur. The doctor gave me a diuretic. How long until you start to see results or changes? I feel a little off balance from the medication than I normally would. I also bought vinpocetine and figured I would give it a try. Any advice would be helpful about the diuretic or if its better to take them during the middle of the day or first thing in morning.
I already eat a pretty well deit that consists of very little salt. I will give the diuretic a shot since I am having suddent attacks one a week, but if it fails I was considering trying the steriod shot in the ear.

Hi zsander. If you do not have hearing loss in low decible range you do NOT have Meniere's Disease.
A diuretic can be helpful in reducing fluid buildup in the ears and give you some relief. I would begin taking it immediately. Continue eliminating salt, caffeine, smoking and alcohol. Best time to take diuretic is in morning....taking it too late in day will keep you up at night going to bathroom.
good luck with whatever it is you are dealing with.

Could be hydrops. That's early stages of menieres. I know how you feel I'm terrified of getting it.

I have ear fullness all the time and I get riniging also, sometimes I can hear it more at night too. I am imbalance all the time, and I feel like I'm constantly on a boat. I have only gotten virtigo once but constant dizzy. They are trying to see if I end up getting menieres. Also I had ear fullness in both ears to the point I could barely hear anything.
