MDT meeting

Posted ,

Hi

I'm new here and hoping someone can shed a little light for me.

I was diagnosed with chiari malformation type 1 just over 2 years ago, in that time my symptoms have got worse and I'm feeling quite poorly as time goes on. I had another mri in December as the neurologist said he thinks my chiari is quite small to be causing my issues.

I've been told I have fluid behind my optic nerve but it was a neuro physiotherapist that had my results and couldn't tell me everything. I had a letter yesterday to explain my results and further care will be discussed at an mdt meeting within skull base. Obviously when you Google this it's showing its for tumours. I was told it can't be cancer as I would have been seen by now but I'm obviously really concerned. I won't get no answers until next month I have anxiety and depression and don't deal with worry very well. Does anyone know if I should be overly concerned?

Thank you.
