Im 19 and due to get my thr soon. I started work but after 3 days i was left crying in the stock room in agony. Hospital told me i wasnt allowed to work. Iv been to the jobcentre and they are worried i wont be able to work either. And when they say that thats deffo something wrong with you. Iv been advised to try and get a sick note and trying and get esa. If i was you you could get help from the jobcentre. Money wise

Hahaha im only getting it due to being born with a weird hip disability that i dont know the name of 😂 this will by my 11th op but the pain is deffo not getting better. Im having a very bad day today. But yes its best to try and speak to them or see about getting a sixk not and trying to get esa. But when you go on esa its difficult to get and you have to get a medical at some point. In our case that might be hard to pass

Hi...all as above...Think the best start would be the Citizens Advice, they should be able to tell you where you can go for help etc...Hang in there, I'm with ya on the pain and feeling like crap...Stay safe and stay happy...PJ

    Hi Vanessa:

I don't think you are alone in this, and recognise that this is small comfort.

I would call DWP (Department of Work and Pensions) and CAB.  Have another word with your Dr. and see if they can be of any assistance.  I think there is help out there, and CAB are plugged into charities that may be of assistance, as well.

Exxplain to both that you are soill, you are house bound, and what would they suggest and what is there avaiable to you for the next few months until yu are able to return to work.

    All the best,

    Susie

Presumably you are on pain killers. Morphine etc

No, iv never been given anything. I have tried the basics such as paracetomal and cocodemal but they do nothing for me xx

Try and do without the trammies if u can. They are very difficult to come off after op and withdrawal effects are very "uncomfortable"

Tramadol was awful, I kept craving the next dose about 30mins before it was due.  I got off them as soon as I could.

See comments in the Tramadol forum.

Also, get a replacenet painkiller before stopping.

I was pain free when I came off them.
