ME/CFS and Work

I am aware that severe sufferers of this condition cannot work, but I would suggest that I am in the 'mild' category as I still attend work 3 days a week. I work in a Roofing company doing administration in the office. I wondered if any 'mild case' sufferers have any advice of what they do when the start to flag when sat at their computer? I tend to have half an hour or so when I can concentrate and do some work and then another half an hour of staring at my screen and nearly falling asleep! I suppose walking around helps, but as terrible as it sounds, I really don't feel like getting up!!!

I remember when I used to be at that level and I worked in an office.  Drinking water helped aslo listening to low level music if you're allowed (I used to turn it off when answering the phone).  Walking around does help (fetching another glass of waterwink). Maybe try walking before you get to the point of not wanting to stand up?  Window open or fan on used to help to (a bit of air movement). Good luck

Thanks to you both for replying. I have the radio on, but I must admit, I struggle big time with temperature control. I am always cold when others are hot and I do have to have the heater on often sad I think it will have to be moving around for me, thank you for the advice! smile

Good luck. Ah you're one of the cold ones. I'm one of the hot ones hence the fan going.
