Meaning of Stage 1 Diastolic Dysfunction

Posted , 3 users are following.

Hello,

I am a 22 year old female, and I recently had an echochardiagram done for some heart palpatations, and at the follow up appointmet, the doctor informed me that everything was normal.

However, upon reading the report, I saw that "stage 1 diastolic dysfunction" was listed in supplemental information, though it was not listed under diagnoses.

I researched it and was immediately met with loads of articles telling me I have heart failure and that it is dangerous.

I am concerned, especially since the doctor never actually mentioned this by mouth.

Should I be worried? Do I really have heart failure? If anyone could help me I would be so greatful.

Thank you
