Medical advise please.

Good day to everyone.

I am writing this for, mainly those who have a medical background.

I have a medical problem with the fact that I find it very hard to get around, this is mainly because of pain, stiffness and numbness with in my limbs. I have just had testback that show's that most of my neck & spine as arthiritus in it, which goes to explain why I get the symptoms that I do.

The question I would like to ask is that if I do anything other than just basically sitting around and moving about my home when I can, I become quite ill, (feeling sick).

Can the body produce a chemical reaction within joints or the muscle, where this can be explained ?

Thank you very much for your time in this matter, it is much appreciated.

      Hi Marie

      Thanks for replying

Yes it is Osteoarthritis rather than Rheumatoid. I am on Tramadol & Paracetamol for the pain. They have tried alot of other painkillers but these are the one's that work good and do not give me any side effects. I do have an heart condition, so I take various medication for that.

I have discussed with my doctor whether any of the medication I am on will give me the problems that I have asked about.

She said no, mainly because I have been on all these medication for 5 years now, and its only been the last 9 months where I have been getting the problem that I have asked about.

      Many thanks....................Kev  (UK)  smile

I don't know Kevin! Good question.  I know that I just lay around either in bed or on the couch! I don't get out much! My legs hurt all the time, and my back hurts if I do much of anything! Good luck to you! I hope you can go see an arthritis specialist. Do you have rheumatoid or osteo arthritis?

Well Osteoarthritis is certainly better than rheumatoid.  My daugher has JRA Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis since the age of 11, and is on heavy duty drugs like Methotrexate which is a cancer drug to try to control it, and now at age 35 it's taking a heavy toll on her liver.  Glad the paracetamol works for you - by the way, I looked it up, and it has a drug in it that helps control you from overdosing.  I used to be on Subutex, which is similar, but my insurance on't pay for it any more.  I agree with you, I did better on the Subutex than I do on straight oxycodone.  Good luck to you.
