What have you tried and what do you take and what do you think works the best ❤️

I am hoping that you get lots of replies to your post as I would like to know about medications too. I have had fibro for 22 years, but have never been given medication for it. I take pain killers very occasionally, as they never really work anyway. I have to take 3 lots before pain relief kicks in several hours later.  Over the years I found that massage, Osteopath, muscle stretches, hot baths, hot wheat bag/water bottles and my amazing little rubber ball to put under my painful muscles/joints/fibro points (what ever they are), have been my only way of getting relief.

?For 22 years my Fibro has had a fairly consistent pattern, but in recent weeks my muscles, joints etc are causing me more problems than in the past. One suggestion is that I am having a Fibro flare up, so I have come on here looking for new ideas to tackle Fibro pain.

?I had to grin about your "buttucks", as I have quite often, amusingly thought to myself, ' what did I do to deserve butt ache '. I could only share that on this site with fellow sufferers who understand.confused

I have tried most of the opiates which just leave you numb and listless. Over the last 3 years I have been on a max dose of Pregabalin which does help without doubt for my normal pain relief. On flare ups I might opt for a codeine or two though if I want to work the best I can take is Paracetamol.

Other remedies that I use are heat pads, heat rubs, hot showers and rest which is the hardest one of all.

I have a massage pad but really that only helps very slightly and can actually aggitate the back and neck. I hate how every single part of me hurts and how little known about Chronic pain.

I have heard of a treatment called "Old pain to go" I might give that a go as no other medical treatment seems to work.

I will watch this article with interest to see if anyone is getting better treatment than me.
