Sertraline & Amitriptyline

For a few years i was on both these meds, 50mg and 10mg. i decided that i didnt want to be on meds anymore and took myself off sertraline, that was 2 years ago in first lockdown. my anxiety has become worse than ever this past year and so i decided to ask the doctor to go back on to sertraline.. she said i cant do that due to serotonin syndrome and refusing to let me go back on.. bearing in mind she wasnt the original doctor (different city) also she isnt an actual doctor, clinician maybe.. she said shes got to lower my amis down to 30mg (from 50mg) to be able to give me the propranolol instead i said ok.. then later on in the day she text me saying that she couldnt prescribe that to me without a blood pressure/pulse check!???! should i get a second opinion cuz im just not sure what the hells going on tbh.. everyone i know is in both these meds and never heard it before till now..
