Between the highs & lows, my mood swings are extreme.. is it just me OR is it perhaps my meds not holding their own any more?

    Hi Deb,

You sound frustrated and tired. Personally I would go to my doctor and discuss your awarness of your ups and downs and compare it with how you felt before.

I am bipolar and cycle rapidly. My doctor works with me tweaking my medications or slowly introducing new ones. If you have been under disabling stress, not eating properly. Alot of meds require good nutrion and exercise to work optimately.

Take care of yourself and visit your doctor, they will help you. I hope you will feel better soon.

    Hi Deb,

I agree with BraunWynn, go see your doctor and tell them of your observations - you may need to have your meds tweeked a bit. It is frustrating, but a reality that sometimes meds needed to be changed.

I wish you well and hope you can see your doctor soon.

I was on cymbalta for years and all of the sudden it just quit working. I went into a very manic episode and we had to change them.. it seems like i have s rapid cycle of manic episodes thst i usually have very high episodes every 3 to 4 months. Ill become suicidal a VERY hyper sex drive i just have to ride it out some times cause i hate switching meds.. sometimes it seems like switching meds just makes it worse. But definitely talk to ur dr they can help alot
