    Hello ethan15244

    I am Odeta Stuikys Rose

Melanoma is very dangerous and rare type of cancer. Melanoma starts in the melanocytes that produce the pigment melanin that colors the skin, hair and eyes and the symptoms of melanoma are

    1. Sores that do not heal.

    2. Pigment, swelling that spreads outside the edge of a spot to the surrounding skin.

    3. Itchiness, tenderness or pain.

    4. Changes in texture, or scales, oozing or bleeding from an existing mole.

    5. Blurry vision or partial loss of sight, or dark spots in the iris.

    Hi,

Although skin cancer, melanoma, can be bad news, if caught early it is usually corrected by local anaesthetic surgery. I had stage 1 (very early) malignant melanoma and it only required removal of further tissue from the biopsy site. 16 internal and 16 external stitches and no pain whatever.

I hope this helps answer some questions you may have.

    Mike.
