Memory problems

**i am 57 and have just started the menopause.

no periods since 2011.

i keep forgetting simple things. like shutting the windows in my car. forgetting things in the oven.

and more ?

am i going mad?

feels horrible!! **

anybody having memory problems?

    I know what you are talking about...I even screw up words when I talk. I know that I say it wrong and correct myself.

      Me too. There was a time i was scared to speak in public. it was that bad

    Yes, for sure. I forget the simplest things, including shutting the windows in my car. I worry about my memory all the time. But it seems to be a common symptom of menopause.

    No you are not going mad. When i first entered menopause 3 yrs ago this was one of my worst symptoms. My memory. I would forget things, my words sometimes messed up. Waking up forgetting what day it was. I was scared out of my living mind. But as the yrs progressed i find myself better. Not saying that i do not forget things but things are not as bad. My dr suggested vitamin d and omegas. I also eat a lot of fish and less sugar. Don't worry it is a part of menopause. A woman on this forum said she once had it really bad and now she has no symptoms of it. Time is all we have when it comes to menopause. It too will pass. hugs
