Meniere’s and travel

Posted , 1 user is following.

I have been diagnosed with Meniere's disease for 20 years now and with a regime of 3x16mg betahistine dihydrochloride it normally keeps to a general fuzziness and one drop attack lasting a week or so a year.

My circumstances have now changed and after 12 years of not travelling I am able to go on holiday.

Does anyone know if air travel affects Menieres or is it just the possibility of too much salt in resturant food intake that could make holidays a bit of a risk?
