    Hi,

I have bilateral as well. I got hearing aids a year ago, which does help somewhat, with hearing at least 😃My hyperacussis is still a bother, even tho my aids are programmed to dim it. I'm on a low salt diet, try to stay hydrated and keep stress to a minimum. I notice my tinnitus is so much worse if i'm dehydrated or stressed. I take meclizine occasionally and loradine daily. Haven't had a bad attack in some time (knock on wood) but i'm always slightly dizzy lol

All the best to you, take care.

Hi Mark. I have bilateral MD and am managing it well with 64mg betahistine/day + 50mg diuretic + allergy meds/nasal flush. A significant portion of MD cases are caused by allergy and non allergic rhinitus. As such it is vital that if you think you may be one of those cases that you see an allergist for management control. I have also been through vestibular rehab which helps to minimize the unbalance/dizziness episodes that often occur between or instead of the full vertigo attacks. Of course, diet is very important. I also take 0.5mg of Ativan when I feel unbalanced....

    Good luck!
