Hello Lovely Ladies...
When it comes to perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause, are you all weathering ANY of these storms? Have you all decided, I will do everything in my power to get through this HELL on earth, or do any of you feel you can't take it any more, and it's just WAYYYYYY.... too much to bear and comprehend? Tell me your raw, unadulterated thoughts...

It is hard especially since we are the unique generation in history of going through peri during a pandemic. I always remind myself that women since the Bibilical times have been going through this. I always remind myself that so many women in history were thrown in insane asylums for normal perimenopause symptoms. I was reading a article about Victorian Melancholia (Modern Depression) the other day and what they did to treat peri women was barbaric. We don't have to go through those things today.
I also remind myself of all the women who went through Peri during other Pandemic's like the Black Plague, Spanish Flu, etc... I think of their strength and resilience in those times. If they survived I can too. They are part of our sisterhood. Our Mother's did not go through Peri like this. They will never ever be able to relate. We are part of a unique sisterhood now.
I also think of women who went through major wars like WWI, WWII, Civil War going through Peri. I think of their strength and determination.
I am a history buff. Peri is hard. I keep thinking that some day in the future our generation will be talked about as having some of the worst Peri ever in history but we were one of the first to start conversations about it, demand better care, have support groups. Even though we are suffering we should be proud of what we are doing. We are changing the world. It might not seem like it now but we really are. That is what gets me through every day.

Hello There, Aliseanya...
Yes we are suffering, yet we know this: There is always LIGHT, at the end of the tunnel... Regarding your statement we are changing the world, I concur wholeheartedly, we are DESTINED to help our future sisters who will one day embark on the journeys of menopause!!

Hey Corrine..
I understand. I have NEVAA taken HRT and NEVAA considered taking it. I've heard sooo... MANY negative things about it. (yes, you're right, including cancer) I am on the ALL-NatureL path, and believe me some days, I want to just DOPE myself up, and hide in a DARK closet until this sugar, honey, iced tea goes away! One thing I know for sure is this: MENOPAUSE pushes its way through everything literally, both medically and naturally!
