Menopause

I'm brand new to this board. Thank goodness I found it!!! Going out of my mind with all of this. Been 4 months of pure hell for me and my family. Started with horrible heart palpitations and dizzy spells. Saw a cardiologist and heart is good. After a few more Dr. visits (for extreme anxiety) she finally did a hormone blood test and her words to me were "I now know why you feel the way you do!" I have horrible night sweats and at least 2 during the day. My appetite is all over the place. This week has been awful with that. Food just makes my stomach turn! All I do is cry and don't want to leave my house. Of course I'm also one to google symptoms and that's not helping my anxiety at all lol ! Lucky I came across this and my symptoms are just like all I have read about here!! At the end of this month I am getting the pellets ! Hoping and looking forward to better days ahead!!

HI! I am glad you found us. you are in good company! It's good that you have a plan with the pellets. Ask anything. we are all going through this together. I am currently dealing with the night sweats every night now. DON'T GOOGLE! 😃

hello...u r sounding exactly like me ...in january this year. i was consulting with many doctors fr answers n solutions. all i got was orders fr blood tests n ultrasounds. even got an endoscopy. long story short...none of them connected my problems to perimenopause(altho they wd mention it like as if it was a wild guess!) now i realize, that they were just making an income out of my helpless situation! thats when i found this lovely forum! it was like a God send!

What really helped was to change my diet to a healthy one and start yoga n short time meditation breathing. stopped sweets n caffiene. i used to be a gym person. but since my appetite was so low, i dint have the energy anymore. so started yoga at home in small steps.

Please try eating healthy. slowly but surely u will begin to see changes. there is also a philosophical side that flickers in our minds during this transition. just a reminder that we are moving into a new chapter in life. accepting this is quite humbling and a relief. Hope u feel better soon.

I am 47, still in peri and taking each day as it comes. i still wake anticipating some symptoms. when they do appear, i acknowledge it but, try to stay calm and let it pass. more like a mind game. 😃

    Helloo mam

    Welcome to our group

we support each other here and ans each other quaries.

really lucky to be part of this forum .

At Menopause stage no one understand us neighter Drs nor our family and friends.

I am thankful to all the ladies here who understand each other and give tips and advice to cross this phase .

Mam first of ur lucky that ur Dr confirms its Peri menopause..because most of us here we r stuggling to tell Dr its perimenopause ..but Drs donot confirm its menopause phase because our blood reports donot show any indication of harmone change..still we have all peri symtoms....harmone level change everyday soo its not confirmations.

Dear its tought phase of life..but hang is there.

take care of ur diet..have lots of water.

include fruits and flaxseeds in diet it helps to ease symtoms.

    tk

Hope this phase will pass soon for all of us

    hugs

I'm curious Kimberly, were you not given any hormone therapy after your hysterectomy?

I was on the Estrodial patch for a couple of years and it worked wonders. However, our insurance changed two years ago and the prescription changed from $20 a month to $473 until my deductble was met so of course I stopped using it. Sad how insurance and drug companies rule our lives and health!!!
