Menopause age 35?? Hot flushes and weird cycles

Hi,

I've started to experience random hot flushes on odd days through the month. I feel like a heat wave rushes through my body from feet to head, my forehead starts sweating and i have to take off what i can to cool down. They last about 30seconds but happen about 10 times a day on the days they occur. Since having my 2nd child 18months ago my cycle returned to normal but recently i underwent blood tests, a hysteroscopy and MRI to check my ovaries, uterus and pelvis due to extreme ovary pain and sudden heavy, longer, more frequent periods. They said my T3 hormone was a bit low but nothing to do anything about. Basically found nothing worrying. However im still worried about early menopause as cant understand why i would get such odd hot flushes and my usual clockwork cycle is suddenly unpredictable in timing and flow.

any advice would help. I feel like if i go to the dr they will just say that my blood was tested a few months ago and nothing was abnormal..

Hello...well one thing you will find on this website is age really doesnt matter! You can begin perimenopause in your 30s or some have even in their 20s no matter what drs say. And alot of times blood tests will not give you answers cause hormones fluctuate so wildly so they normally will come back in the normal range and make you look like a quack to the dr. I began having what i thought was severe pmdd symptoms at 32, as the years passed my symptoms became worse & new ones creeped in. By the age of 38 i would some times go 3-4 months with NO period and yep the blood tests said i was fine!! Here i am at age 41, been going through this almost 10 years and now i have periods every 6 months!!! The hot flashes, insomnia, stomach issues, dizziness, headaches, anxiety & depression has been the worst ever in the past 3 years but here lately ive been having a relief from it from time to time so maybe im almost done! But the bottom line us you arent crazy and perimenopause and menopause symptoms can last for years so be prepared! You will meet great ladies on here

I would make sure you take an iron pill on your heavy flow days.. I take one morning and night just to make sure I don't become anemic. As for hot flashes I haven't been lucky enough to experience one nor do I want too!! But I do take a womens health vitamin that could help keep them away-- not sure. My worst is the aniexty which I absolute hate.. And then the feeling of 'out of it' and being tired. Take Care.

hi Charlotte - i am 62 & had my first child @33 years of age & i often remark that i havent been cold since 1990! My internal thermostat was forever changed & i do remember getting "flushed" early on. i really didnt start with the hot sweats until my 50's & raging heat inferno until my 60's - the hormone gods have not been kind to me - hah! it could be early menopause for you or just really active hormones - hopefully for you it will all calm down soon -

    Hi

i have been diagnosed with early menopause at 28 . its only early menopause if you have shortage of eggs or no eggs at all like i do . i would get your egg levels check. they can do this my internal ultrasound . i would ask to be referred to an doctor specialising in infertility or menopause rather than your GP. i know doctors can't always work out whats going on but i would trust any alternative medicine as they do not need medical degree or any understanding of human biology to practice. hope this helps.

hi Rachel, im sorry to hear that. I hope a specialist can help. i didnt realise it was due to egg count. I had my ovaries checked a while ago and was told that they were swollen so probably had a lot of eggs... i thought it was caused by ovaries just stopping releasing the eggs for no reason

ovaries could have stop realasing eggs but that does mean its menopause. it just a worrying thought. it could you have a hormonal imbalance or are very stressed that can stop egg release. i been their too . its i am not ovulating so sometimes wrong, therefore you get stress thus making it worse. its hard but keep asking for specialist and keep going . i hope you get it stored out soon . i personally wish more money was being give to research this kind of stuff. so women in future dont have the same issues getting an answer. hope get an answer soon.
