Hi Kim, sorry your having a rough time latley.

try to remember your not alone , we all have bad days . this is just a phase and only temporary.

As far as the HRT goes i cant give any advise on that but im sure some of the other ladies on here will as they have knowledge of it.

to make yourself feel better , get together with some friends or take a nice evening walk and enjoy the beatiful fall season . the leaves are gorgeous on the nature trails . i like to cozy up in bed with my favorite movie and good nights sleep and i find that helps too.

also remember to find what relaxes you most and try to do more of that . hugs to you from canada here . hang in there and keep coming to the forums here . its a tremendous help . 😃

    God Bless .

HI kim, sorry to hear you are feeling weighed down by menopause symptoms. i am not sure of your age but I AM NOW 65 and swear by HRT? It was my saviour whilst i was still working in my early 50 's! i was started on LIVIAL 2.5mg and after about 6 weeks life became so much more enjoyable again.

i am still taking it whilst i have tried to come off it but symtoms returned with a vengeance so back on i went as quality of life is sooooo important.

i would say give it a try and hopefully you get satisfaction.

    goodluck

    Hi Kim,

I agree with Jenny. I'm 58. I've been in menopause for three and a half years now. Within 6 months of my periods ending for good I started seeing a holistic doctor. Best decision I could have made. All the proper blood work was done along with a doctor that knew hormone replacement. I've been on Bio Identical hormone creams consisting of estrodial, estriol, testosterone and progesterone and never felt so good. I recently had my first pellets implanted last month and still feel great. It is like I'm not in menopause and I feel confident I'm also protecting my body at the same time by replenishing these hormones. There is no reason women should be suffering the way they do from these symptoms anymore. I went through 10 years of peri menopause and wish I knew then what I know now. I would have gotten on hormone replacement sooner. I plan to stay on it the rest of my life. Good Luck

      Hi mrs_susan

I did much homework on the internet and searched doctors that were well studied in hormone replacement therapy, in particular bio identical hormones. I was prepared to drive many hours away from my home but turned out I had one very near me. If you live in the states you should be able to find a doctor well versed in your area too. Seems there are more and more doctors moving over to the alternative and holistic practice approach. It is more out of pocket because most insurance companies don't cover this but for me my health and happiness is worth every penny I have spent. Good luck.

Hi Kim, so sorry to hear you are struggling. I am starting on bioidentical HRT tomorrow. I've made this decision after doing a lot of research. I did go to a local practitioner who specializes in treating hormone imbalance. My quality of life has been horrible with the perimenopausal symptoms. I'm just hopeful the BHRT will work. Good luck with whatever you decide to do!

    Hello Kim

I'm 43 and have been on bhrt since March. The first few weeks can be a bit up and down, and it takes 3 months to get them into your system but I can recommended it. Nothing can replace hormones except..... Hormones 😃 I tried lots of other things, holistic treatments, vitamins etc but it wasn't enough for me to function at work or at home. Now I am so so much better. Give it a go Kim, there's no right or wrong way to get through this but I'm all for making it as easy for yourself as you can - why suffer?! Good luck, and stay strong xxx
