i got mono back in the start of december. i felt tired and fatigued in the acute phase. 1-2 weeks in i developed anxiety and some depression. by the end of january i was gettibg better both physically and mentally. its now the start of march and i feel 85% physically and getting better. mentally on the other hand im still not there. i have good days, but there i times i feel depressed and anxious and it scares the hell out of me. ive never felt like this and want to go back to normal. is depression a symptom of mono/ebv and does it go away. At times i feel scared this will never end. also what does the recovery process look like for the mental health aspect of mono.

    Hi Mike,

Yes, this is very common. I had this my first time and then I had a relapse this year after having covid . The anxiety and depression eventually lift. Hopefully you are feeling better soon.
