Suicidal and really stuck Sunday I was detained under mental health act by police and forced to go to hospital following self harm I was then taken to a hospital and made to stay there until assessment was done. I was let out home, big mistake on their part I can't do this. I need to be sectioned or I won't make it.

Hi Nicola, you can self present at hospital and ask to be admitted if that's what you feel you need. What did they say yo you when you'd been assessed? Have you been prescribed any meds and if so how long have you been on them? You really need to dig down when you feel suicidal or have the urge to self harm, you can and will get through this! You are stronger than the think.
Please reply and let us know how you are doing and if you go back to hospital.

Not much I'm already on medication. They shouldnt have let me go

How long have you been on the medication? I suggest you phone your local crisis team now (assuming your in the UK), you can google the number for your area, alternatively phone the Samaritans they are brilliant.
Please don't do anything you may regret, you will recover from this.

Rang police in tears asking for help they took me to lynfield mount where they spoke to me. Said because I'm not having any psychotic episodes and that I have capacity that they can't admit me to hospital. I literally begged but they wouldn't I lost it and tried to run off but police stopped me.. I even managed to self harm in toilet even tho police was apparently watching me. Continued chat whilst blood all over. Asked to hand over razor so did. Home treatment team they've said.
