Mental symptoms of Anxiety?

Posted , 2 users are following.

Hello everyone. I've been dealing with Severe Anxiety for a year and a half, and for some months now I only have only mental symptoms. Psychiatrists keep telling me its only anxiety. I am on fluvoxamine and olanzapine low dose (my psychiatrist prescribed it for anxiety). I am scared that Im going crazy so every little thing that happens to me I think its that. My symptoms:

I hear some sounds or someone calling my name as I wake up or fall asleep. Doctors said its hypnagogic and its normal.

I double check every voice or sound that I hear through the day, I keep asking others if they heard it too.

Then as I wake up I catch myself doing head movement (like shaking my head) like Im saying Yes or No to someone that Im mentally having a convo with.

I do minor mistakes, like forgeting things or saying a word with a mistake of a font.

I feel dettached from reality sometimes, usually when Im out, everyone feels so distant, like Im in a dream.

I get the urge to rethink the whole day to see if there was anything crazy that I did.

I sometimes get intrusive thoughts when walking down the street, like touching some girls butt or yelling or hitting someone or doing something crazy. I dont act on em ofc, but they make me feel bad.

Sometimes Im not sure if I saw something in a dream or it happened for real, mostly as I wake up in the morning.

Sorry for my long thread, I would appreciate anyone who experienced the same symptoms and do u think its only anxiety?

yes I really do think anxiety can do all of that. I’ve had anxiety for over 30 years and I’ve had every symptom you can think of.

I haven’t gone crazy yet but I really work hard at managing my anxiety. One thing I stopped doing is ruminating over everything from the past and also forecasting what will happen in the future. Doing those things will increase anxiety drastically.

The brain is an extremely complex Organ . anxiety can cause all sorts of weird thoughts and it can also cause forgetfulness, and hundreds of other things. none of the symptoms that anxiety causes will harm you.

feeling detached from reality is a very common symptom of chronic stress and anxiety. When you feel that way it’s because your brain is trying to protect you from things that cause you stress so it tries to block things out. It’s not permanent. In order to feel better it’s important to learn how to manage the anxiety better. And whatever is causing you stress in your life. Speaking with a counselor can be very helpful! it’s important to know that it’s not the problems that we face in life, it’s how we respond to the problems.you are not going crazy. You are just experiencing some of the symptoms that anxiety can cause. They will subside when you are able to manage it better. Get some support for this. Feel better ❤
