Messed up my medicine! help!

hi

so I have been on 50mg of zoloft since November 2017. I took my medicine last night before bed, but then forgot I did an ended up taking another pill. So last night I ended up putting 100mg in my body last night instead of usual 50! I've felt terrible all day and right now. I'm feeling side effects that I felt when I was adjusting to 50mg. I'm just so sensitive to medication so I feel like I noticed such a big difference after one day. Does having 1 dose of 100mg effect my body to the point where I should just keep taking100mg dose? Would taking a 50mg tonight effect me more? My dr recommended I go up but I was afraid of side effects & rightfully so since I am seriously feeling them. Will it be okay if I just take my usual 50mg dose tonight? Should things go back to normal since I only had that 100mg dose once last night? I did just take a 50mg I just want to know if that is good or should just try to stick it out with 100mg. I am at college and in super stressful situations so I need the quickest and safest solution. Thank you so much for any advice smile

Hello, if your doctor has advised you to go up then you must still be having some symptoms. Really this is all up to you, you know you have wide affects but the sooner you increase the sooner you get through them. I see you have 3 choices, 1)you stay as you are on 50,

    2) you continue with the 100 and push through the side affects which should subside after a week or so,

    3) you go up to 75 which may be less side affects but will allow you to  increase gradually which may be easier for you to manage, then take the other 25 when feeling ready to do so

Good luck lease let me know how you get on xx 😘
