Posted , 8 users are following.

Hi all,

I suffer from moderate psoriasis, and am on MTX for past 6 months

Dosages: 12.5 mg for 1 month

followed by 10 mg for 2 months

followed by 7.5 mg for 3 months

Can you please help me figure out if these are high doses and normal number of years it can used as a treatment. Also the maximum dosage already taken by anyone in the group.

Hi Sheila, thank you for your reply . Yes the doctor told me that as I have both psoriasis and arthiritis and aggressive form. Just don't understand how taking all the tablets in one go on one day works. I suppose you are given this dose which is a higher dose to blast it more efficiently. I'm sure all the scientific tests are carried out and this is the best way the drug helps. I have suffered from psoriasis since I was 15 and I'm now 58, but wasn't diagnosed with the arthiritis until August last year. If I'm honest I had never hear of psoriatic arthiritis until I was diagnosed. My late mother had RA for many years but I had never heard of PA until I got diagnosed.
