Methotrexate Newbie to be, have steroid &calcium and another tab for two months beforehand

Hi therei have had various auto immune illnesses over the years and I've been fobbed off with B12 jabs and various painkillers not forgetting the mountain of antibiotics ive had, especially over the last 18 months.

It seems despite making the GP's aware at various points over the years of my family history no one ever wanted to look at the bigger picture.

Then i had my Tragus pierced and for a few months it was fine. i had it done January 2020, before 1st lockdown. it swelled after a few months for no reason and i eventually got referred to ENT. I was see for 1st time in October and every other day / fews days as "the infection would not go despite 100's of high strength different antibiotics. eventually i was diagnosed with Perichondritis Jan 2021, following a consultant being called n who also ordered some bloods for auto immune. fast forward to Tuesday. now I've got four more tabs to take and a fifth one that scares the life out of me. I'm on high dose steroids and yes you will be hungry all time yes you will put on weight. Your body is fighting itself so you need these tablets to suppress your wonky immune system but will make you even more at risk of infection. (had cancer and chemo in 1992 so the immune/infection bit scares me.
