Hey so I started taking metro pills on 9/12 and now I'm having increased white discharge. The smell of the bv has kind of gone away by now but it's still there a little bit but this discharge is driving me crazy. Has anyone else experienced this and does it go away? image

mine looked like that when i still had bv but i never used the gel i had tablets instead which didnt get rid of much really still had discharge and smell i had to used clindamycin cream

oh sorry says u had pills aswel they didnt work for me gave me yeast infection made things worse

Usually I use the gel and not the pills so like I just don't know what to expect from them

i got pelvic inflammatory disease from bv and had to do 2 weeks of them they got rid of the pain i was having and the discharge and smell went away after 3 days but after stopping them i got a bad yeast infection and the discharge an smell came back the clindamycin cream got rid of it in the end

what didnt work for me does not mean it wont work for you alot of people use the tablets and it clears it up but it is very common to get a yeast infection after taking them if u have any probiotics take them a couple of days before u finish the corse

the metronidiazole shifted the pid thank god because it wasnt pleasant at all it was just a bit of discharge and smell that was lingering and a bit of pain in my lower back i wdnt back and was given clindamycin vaginal cream with got rid of the discharge and the back pain so its all cleared up now not had bv for 2 months mine usually came when my period finished ....not sure if its worked long term but so far so good

i did 2, weeks metronidiazole doxycycline and cipro i tested negative for gono and chlamydia but all three were the treatment for pid i think they just covered all possible things i then took metronidiazole again 2g 5 tablets a month for 5 months then the clindamycin cream

kim12266 Did your BV or PID return after clindamycin treatment? I had my PID and BV treated with ceftriaxone, doxy and metro, but BV came back. I want to ask my doctor to swap metro with clindamycin maybe my BV is too resistant to metro. Strange enough during my first round of treatment when I took only 7 days of metro, pain came back immediately. Second round I did 14 days and symptoms resided for months. Now it's back. I feel so tired and disillusioned, especially since I went through laparo, removed my appendix and got DNA chlamydia and gono tested from uterus and they were negative. I just want the pain to go away. We want a child but this has affected my endometrium. It looked good on histero but when PID comes, my menstruation gets so light, just 2 days of lite flow. Can't get it ticker than 6mm.

My discharge looks exactly like this, I have BV right now, metro pills usually make it worse for me.
